#Celebrating_International_Women_s_Day_2019_at_Tata_MarcoPolo ----------------------------------------------------------------------- #Think_Equal #Build_Smart #Innovate_for_Change #Balance_for_Better It was indeed an honour to be invited by #Mr_Tiwari as one of the chief guests to celebrate womanhood and their amazing talents, to raise awareness against gender bias and to take action for equality with the amazing ladies at #Tata_Marcopolo with Purti Sharma. ☆ Women still earn 20%-25% lesser than men earn for the same work. ☆ At least 200 million women and girls alive today have undergone female genital mutilation. ☆ Women account for just 24 percent of parliamentarians. ☆ 35 percent of women globally have experienced physical and/or sexual violence. Clearly, we still have a long way to go, and we must be innovative in exploring new ways of working and thinking. Transformative innovations don’t have to be costly or flashy. Simple technologies, local innovations, and new practices that shift social attitudes, norms or biases can also make a difference. Through an interactive session with the help of games and activities we understood the importance of a balanced world and why It's our responsibility to build a more gender-balanced world! Here’s to strong women and men who strive to think equally, build smartly and innovate for change! May we know them! May we be them! May we raise them!!!
