Watch/Listen: 3P’s skill development session held on 1st April at Observation Home For Boys, a DCPUD Unit by clicking here –

Topic – Importance of self-evaluation

Overview –

The importance of self-evaluation in helping us understand our strengths, weaknesses, and what we need to do to improve and grow was discussed with the children. It was also mentioned to them that knowing and evaluating ourselves is important because it helps us grow, improve, and make better decisions in life.

The SWOT Analysis method was discussed with the children, which will help them in self-evaluation. This analysis will help the students begin identifying their core competencies (Strengths) and areas needing improvement (Weaknesses), as well as the Opportunities and Threats that could impact their educational and career aspirations. This exercise aimed to encourage self-awareness and strategic planning in their personal development journeys.

Assignment –

  • The students in the next session will present their Strengths and areas needing improvement (Weaknesses) and also how they plan to overcome their weaknesses
  • The students are requested to maintain notes of all the sessions.

Overview – In today’s session, we discussed with students the importance of developing habits and mindsets that help them learn effectively and retain what they learn. Being punctual helps students start their day with structure and focus. Valuing and respecting time (yours and others’). Time is a valuable resource; using it wisely ensures better learning outcomes. Being organizedKeeping study materials, notes, and schedules in order, helps reduce stress and improve focus. 2. Watch/Listen: 3P’s skill development session held on 25th March, 2025, for Observation Home For Boys, a DCPUD Unit by clicking here –

Topic – How to communicate effectively and efficiently.

During today’s session, students were introduced to the goal of communication, which is to clearly express what we want to convey and to correctly understand what others are communicating to us. Communication is successful only when both the speaker and the listener understand each other properly.

The 3 C’s of Effective Communication –
1. Clarity â€“ Clarity in thought is the key to clear communication. Students should think clearly before they speak or write. When ideas are clear in the mind, the message becomes easy for others to understand.

2. Concise – Be direct and to the point. Avoid unnecessary details and stick to the main subject. Clear and brief communication saves time and keeps the listener engaged.

3. Completeness –

A clear starting pointProper explanation or main contentA clear ending or conclusionA call to action (what should be done next)
