Overview - This session focused on developing listening skills which is one of the most important skills and form of communication for students that will help them in their learning and grasping process. Its essentials for students to develop listening skills and become good listeners as it is a prerequisite to learn any new skills, subjects and languages effectively and efficiently. Actively engaging in the listening process will enable students to focus on what the teacher is teaching and make connections practically to what is thought in the class as it helps one to grasp ,reflect and accumulate the knowledge, it also enables one to respond smartly and tactfully and avoid any communication gaps. The #3 key factors to develop listening skills starts from 1.Focusing and paying attention to the speaker/teacher I 2. Taking down notes/key points and reflecting on them I 3.Asking questions to the speaker for any clarifications / what was not understood.
