Overview - During this session, the students learned how they can effectively and efficiently manage maintenance activities. The following 3 questions they need to keep in mind - WHY - Need to communicate to the maintenance team about the purpose/story of what they would be maintaining, so that they get connected to it and feel a sense of belonging, so that they will take on their responsibilities well. HOW - Need to communicate maintenance team - The start and completion times of the maintenance window/schedule. Who do they need to report to about the progress or issues.WHAT - Need to communicate with the maintenance team as to what tasks they need to do as part of the maintenance. Finding the solution to problems - WHY - Knowing that the problem occurred.HOW - Understanding how the problem occurred /analyzing the problem.WHAT - What solution can be applied so that the problem is avoided in future. The above should be documented in a maintenance book so that there is continuous improvement. Assignment - Students are to use the WHY, HOW, WHAT concept to make the maintenance of the fountain effective and efficient.
