• Determining goals and the best way to achieve them.
• Involves answering: What needs to be done? When? How? Who will do it?

O – Organising

• Arranging resources (people, tools, tasks) to carry out the plan.
• Ensures that the structure and roles are in place.

S – Staffing

• Recruiting, training, and placing the right people in the right roles.
• Ensures the team has the skills needed to succeed.

D – Directing

• Guiding, motivating, and leading people to achieve goals.
• Includes communication, leadership, and supervision.

C – Controlling

• Monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Involves setting standards, measuring performance, and taking corrective action.

Assignment -

1. Students to form 2 groups by Wednesday to plan a trip and use the 2 key aspects of management, which are planning and organising. This needs to be written in the notebook they maintain for the session and presented during the session this Thursday.
