These concepts were reviewed in response to students’ questions. The ideas were further simplified and clarified to ensure better understanding in line with the following management functions.

  • Planning
  • Organising
  • Staffing
  • Controlling
Students were introduced to the basics of project planning. The session included:
  • Identifying a main task
  • Breaking it down into subtasks
  • Assigning start and end dates
  • Identifying the task owner (person responsible)
Assignment - Students are required to:
  • Complete a project plan for the hostel trip they are planning.
  • Include:
  • Main task
  • Subtasks
  • Start and end dates
  • Task owner for each subtask
  • Submit the plan by tomorrow
  • Present their project plans during the next class
