The discussion focused on actions and behaviours before, during, and after the interview to help create a confident, professional, and lasting impression. Before the Interview:
- Get a good night’s sleep before the interview.
- Dress appropriately in formal or business attire.
- Review your resume, the job description, and key talking points.
- Plan your travel – arrive 45 minutes to 1 hour early at the interview venue.
- Carry all necessary documents (resume, ID, certificates, etc.).
- Mentally rehearse responses to common interview questions.
- Maintain a positive attitude and calm mindset.
- Greet the interviewer.
- Maintain good eye contact and body posture.
- Listen carefully and answer clearly and confidently.
- Be honest—if you don’t know something, it’s okay to admit it.
3. After the Interview:
- Thank the interviewer for their time and opportunity.
- Politely ask about the next steps or follow-up timeline.
- Students to complete their notes and present their understanding/learning from today's topic during the next session.
