3p’s skill development online session held on 24th Oct for AMITSU children’s home, Srilanka unit - Topic: Importance of Communicating in English and how to learn Overview: During today’s session, the importance of communicating in English was discussed with the children. The discussion highlighted how effective English communication can support them in their education, enhance their future career opportunities, and serve as an essential life skill in today’s world. The following was recommended to them to learn English - Every day, per day translate one simple sentence from Sinhala to English and practise to read and write, the 2nd week learn 2 sentences per week, the 3rd week 3 sentences per day and go on till you are perfect. Assignment - In the next class, the students to come up with 7 sentences they have learned to read and write in English and update the same on the CLICS at least 1 hour before the session.
