Overview – This topic was curated and conducted by Dr. Umesh Hallikeri, MBBS MD. Consultant Oncopathologist at The Karnataka Cancer Therapy and Research Institute, Navanagar, Hubballi and Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Dharwad. During this session, Dr. Umesh Hallikeri educated and explained to the children and their parents how drug/tobacco consumption can harm our physical and mental health, he also shared the harmful ingredients used to make drugs/tobacco. The doctor also shared that one should not be influenced by influential people promoting drugs/tobacco and not engage with people who consume it. Dr. Umesh Hallikeri told the children to stay away from drugs/tobacco or any bad habits; they need to practice good habits, learn new skills, have a goal, and keep working on it, and over-focus on their studies and careers
