  • IoT-Based Alcohol Detection and Engine Locking System

About the Project:

  • This project aims to increase road safety and reduce accidents caused by drunk driving. The system detects alcohol using a sensor. If alcohol is detected above the safe limit, the engine automatically locks and prevents the vehicle from starting. The system uses IoT technology for monitoring and communication.

Accomplishments

  • I got a new GSM module.
  • The GSM module is working properly.
  • The alcohol detection system is working correctly.
  • The engine locks when alcohol is detected.
  • The anti-theft system is working.
  • The accident (fall) detection system is working.
  • The system sends alert messages using GSM.
  • The location tracking feature is working.
  • My IoT-Based Alcohol Detection and Engine Locking System is fully working without problems.

Challenges Faced at the Starting Stage of Communication:

  • At the beginning, the GSM module was not responding to AT commands.
  • There were wiring mistakes between TX and RX pins.
  • The power supply was not stable, so the GSM did not work properly.

Plan for the Week:

  • Check all wires again.
  • Check power supply.
  • Test SMS sending many times.
  • Check if all parts work together.
  • Write the new updates in my notebook.
