Center for Learning, Innovation, Creativity and Startup (CLICS) supports the students in the children’s home(s) in SriLanka.
About
Why:
AMI Tsunami Children’s Home is an idea that manifested when the family was saved from the Tsunami of 2004. The purpose of our efforts is to support children in need in SriLanka.
How:
Provide kids in need with boarding, education, career and medical support. In addition we hope to provide leadership, frame work, guidelines, design and consulting for those interested to start and run a Children’s home.
What:
Enable our children in SriLanka to grow into healthy, happy, responsible and successful citizens.

This week in the music class I had given the small kids an assignment. They had faced to the paper well. They had got a good mark for it. I had gave fifty marks for the theory paper and fifty marks for the practical test. This is how they had got marks for the monthly exam.
We had plucked some long beans for the consumption of the Amitsu.
This week in WMP we had still putting kitchen waste like potato peels, onion leaves, coconut powder. tea powder, the parts of eggplant that we cannot use for our food to our bin. We had mixed the waste that is in the bin when we put kitchen waste to the bin. Many manure had created in the bin. We had got some manure that had created in the bin and we used them for the Gardening Project.
This week in gardening project we had plucked some gotukola and long beans for our food. We had put manure for the plants that had created in the WM bin. We had watered the plants everyday. We had planted cabbage. Now the plants are grown bigger. This week I had watered the sweet potato and chili plants. Next week my plan is to water the plants.

Flowers. Flowers are one of the nature’s most beautiful gifts to man and it would not be wrong to say that the blooming of a flower in itself symbolises life. Plants produce flowers because they contain the male and female reproductive organs. Like human beings plants also need to transfer pollen from the male reproductive organs for the female ones. Unlike human beings and animals, plants cannot move so they need to attract other creatures which can do this job for them and for this purpose they produce flowers. Flowers have a delicate but complex structure and no two flowers are alike. Before blooming, a flower is in the shape of a bud and is covered on the outside with scaly and rough sepals. Once a flower blooms, these sepals open up and the inner petals are uncovered. Plants use these brightly colored petals to attract insects like butterflies and bees. Housed inside the petals are the styles and above these are the anthers covered with pollen. This week for grade ten students I had taught Congruence of Triangles (third Case and fourth case). I had gave many mathematical problems to them to do. I taught them this lesson in a very easy way. I plan to give him an assessment from this lesson in next week’s math class I gave him some homework.
Last week I had asked from 2 elder kids would they liked to join to our Gardening and Waste management project. They had agreed with me. The names of two Kids are Shalika and Rumeshani.
Personal experience and Learning from the Gardening Project and Waste Management project.
Firstly in gardening project,
I had learnt many things about mother nature. How plants grow, what texture of the soil that each and every plant need, what are the manure plants need and I had learnt many Bio logical things from the garden are the main things I had learnt from Gardening.
The personal experiences that I had form doing this project are, Now I can choose a suitable place to plants vegetables and fruits and also I can treat every kind of plants.
Secondly related to Waste Management project,
I had learnt how to produce organic manure, how to create a suitable equipments like a waste collecting bin and a stick to mix them well and also what type waste that I need to add for creating organic manure.
And the life experiences are we can create our own manure for our plants in gardening project
