Center for Learning, Innovation, Creativity and Startup (CLICS) supports the students in the children’s home(s) in SriLanka.
About
Why:
AMI Tsunami Children’s Home is an idea that manifested when the family was saved from the Tsunami of 2004. The purpose of our efforts is to support children in need in SriLanka.
How:
Provide kids in need with boarding, education, career and medical support. In addition we hope to provide leadership, frame work, guidelines, design and consulting for those interested to start and run a Children’s home.
What:
Enable our children in SriLanka to grow into healthy, happy, responsible and successful citizens.

STUDENTS

THIS IS WRITTEN BY ALL OF US WHO ATTENDED THE SESSION: Today we had our first Teaching Tree Session. Firstly I would like to thank Abhi sir for teaching us today very clearly and well. We had understand the science lesson well. At the beginning of the session Abhi sir had taught us the meaning of the word STEAM. That is, S- Science T- Technology E- Engineering A- Art M- Math Then sir had asked from us the interested lessons in Science from each. According to the lesson Abhi sir had taught us that for a plant, it wants four factors. They are Water Soil Air Sunlight. Abhi sir had taught the lesson taking an example. A cow eat grass. For the growth of the grass it wants the four factors that I had mentioned above. When the cow eats the grass The cow had get for its body the four factors. We get milk from the cow and drink. In this week also we added some kitchen waste like tea powder, coconut powder, onion peels, banana peels to the WM bin and we mixed it daily.
In next week my plan is to add kitchen waste to the bin and mix it well.
In this week I had watered the plants every day evening and we put some fertilizer for the plants.Next week my plan is to water the plants and put fertilizer for them.
This week we had plant Manioc and Ladies fingers
As usual I had add kitchen waste like beetroot peels and banana peels in this week.
This week for grade nine friend I had taught the lesson about Construction of locus, it is a lesson mentioned in the textbook. This lesson is a mandatory question in the math question paper. I taught him all the Construction of locus questions that were in the exam past papers. I realized that he understood all of those math problems well. If he is given a question in this lesson, I am sure he will get the total marks for that question. I plan to give him an assessment from this lesson in next week’s math class. I gave him math homework. I gave him some works.
This week for the grade nine friend I had thought the lesson, He had done the homework. At the revision activity he had got a good marks. I had gave him some home works to do.
