Projects, Dates, Milestones, Tasks

Project vision/delivery statement set
Project has to have due date : date of completion
Date of completion: please give the date of completion and add + or – amount of buffer time (typical 10% to 15% of total time)
Then break the time line into 25% each milestones : 25% of 1 year is 3 months | 25% of 4 months is 1 month | 25% of 8 hours is 2 hours
Abhi learning Sinhala milestones: First 3 moths: Tell a story in sinhala in 10 mins | Next 3 months : Have 20 min q/a in sinhala | Next 3 months : Have 30 min discussion | Last 3 months: Conduct a session in sinhala
Children presenting in english: same milestones as above but in english
After setting milestones : think about first 3 tasks and start .. then add the other tasks

Steam: English and Sinhala Speaking Learning

Children have uploaded the STEAM answer sheets
The children have started helping Abhi learn Sinhala
They ask questions in english and Abhi has to answer in Sinhala
Abhi asks questions in Sinhala and they answer in English

Read/Listen first

Abhi learnt art of listening from his elder brother Bunty, writing artfully from his friend Jim, Talking from inspiring personalities
Communication is key to connect with the world around us
Prerequisite to good communication: Being open
Ireland story where Abhi had to communicate with two ladies who could not talk or hear
Buddy our pet dog at AMitsu understands when we call or tell something. And if Buddy wants something we understand. How? Does Buddy know Sinhala or English or Tamil?
Buddy and we are connected that is why we understand each other. How are we connected – because we are open.
Goal for this coming year: Children will express in English and Abhi will express in Sinhala

Steam: Independence day

Who knows Nelson Mandela
He put in his efforts to get equal rules, laws and opportunities for South African citizens where apartheid existed
He was born in 1918. Starting his efforts of independence from england in 1942 . He was inprisoned in 1962 and spent 27 years in prison
So how can a person in prison become a symbol of independence?
He kept sharing his idea with one person at a time: how does this rule/law help you, all others and the whole country? (personal take)

So write your ideas, share them with at least one person per year and in 27 years they will spread to the whole world
And that is what happened with Nelson Mandela’s idea: it reached everyone in the world in 27 years from one prisoner to th other to the guards to news papers to leaders. And the whole world got behind Mandela so British gov released him and ended apartheid

everything is connected are wirelessly
they placed two atoms far away in space. they rotated one and the other one turned too
So what is connected and in synch will be connected across long distances wirelessly
Nikola Tesla: held a bulb in his hand and it lit up without wires or electricity. He is the scientist who invented electricity, radio, tv, radar and more
What does the brain do: it takes in the energy from air, water, earth, space, sun and balances the energy in all parts of the body..
What helps our brain to balance ? Breathing
What helps breathing or vibration? Love
What is Love? Energy
If you put tang in a glass of water, what color does it become? Who has the color, is it the water or tang? Tang has color.
So, the pink lake in australia or the glowing beach in maldives , the color is in the land or things in the water and the water is always clear.

How our heart gets an electric pulse from ..

The heart is connected to the blood vessel or nerve through which electricity comes
What is in the blood vessel? Blood
Blood is made up of white and red cells
What is cells made up of : salt water in the blood
What is the salt/water/blood made up of: atoms/electrons/vibration/love
What is the ocean water made up of : salt
What is the use of salt? Conduct electricity
What brings electricity to the heart? The salts bring electricity to heart
So ocean water is connected to us .. for the purpose of energy/electricity transfrer
So the ocean water goes up and down based on moon .. so what is moon made up of?
Moon is made up of salts
So the salts connect us all
What is regulating the electricity to the heart? Our brain ..

Heart Beat and electricity

How does the heart beat
Heart gets an electrical signal which makes it beat: contract and expand
It is because of an electrical signal that comes as a pulse from the SA node (a vessel connected to the heart)
The electrical signal is 60 to 100 times per minute
The ecg reads this electrical signal
What brings the electrical signal to the heart: the cells in the vessels
From where is the electrical signal coming to the heart? from the arternatives/veins/nerves connected to heart
What is within this artery/vein : blood
What is within the blood: cells
the cells like atoms
The breath rotates the magnet: the mind
The mind polarizes the cells positive negative so they start vibrating
That vibration is conducted because of the salts (potassium, calcium etc) in the cells from one cell to the other

-How does energy flow in our body, things, ocean, planet and more : from hot to cold
-from america to sri lanka when america is facing the sun and night time in laks. and vice versa; from sri lanka to america

-What are rivers for the earth compared to our body which has blood, heart, mind, breath
-it is the blood vessels or path that takes the water from different parts to the heart
-how much water on earth? 74% . how much water or blood in body 74%
-what does heart do for our body? cleans the blood
-what does the ocean do? cleans the water
-so one idea: is the ocean cleaning the water like the heart and sending ti from amer to sri lanka and from sri lanka to america, the rivers are like blood vessels taking the dirty water back to ocean
