A LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) beam is a focused, intense, and coherent stream of photons. It’s characterized by its monochromatic nature, meaning it consists of a single wavelength of light, and its tight beam divergence, allowing for precise targeting. LASER beams have numerous applications, from cutting and welding in manufacturing to medical procedures and telecommunications. Their unique properties make them indispensable in various fields, harnessing the power of light for a wide range of purposes.

Seismology is the scientific study of earthquakes and the behavior of Earth’s crust. It plays a crucial role in understanding the dynamics of our planet. Seismologists use seismometers to detect and record seismic waves generated by earthquakes. By analyzing these data, they can determine the location, depth, and magnitude of quakes. Seismology also provides insights into the Earth’s interior structure and tectonic plate movements, helping to mitigate earthquake risks and save lives through early warning systems and improved building designs. It’s a field that bridges geology, physics, and engineering to unravel the mysteries of our dynamic planet.
