Topic – Importance of communicating in English + 3C’s of effective communication.

Overview –
In today’s session, it was discussed with the children that they need to develop and start communicating in English as it is an official language and it is very important to them in their education, career, and growth. Also, it was discussed how they can learn English by themselves and also how technology can help.
The 3C’s of effective communication were also discussed i.e. 1. Clarity 2.Conciseness 3. Completeness can enable them to be an effective communicator in reading and writing and how their message can reach the audience they would want to communicate most effectively. It was also mentioned to them how this topic is related to personal and people skills.

3 C’s for effective communication –

  • CLARITY – Clarity in thoughts is the key.
  • CONCISENESS – Be to the point/subject.
  • COMPLETENESS – Start and end point + call to action.

Assignment –

  1. In the next session, the students to present their project/AIMS using the concept 3C’s of effective communication.

Topic – Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Overview –

Dr. Umesh Hallikeri – MBBS, MD. Consultant Oncopathologist, The Karnataka Cancer Therapy and Research Institute, Navanagar, Hubli, and Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Dharwad –

During today session the students learnt the technique/procedures to give CPR to a person whoes breathing or heart beat has stopped , all the details and what to do and what not to do was shared with the students.

The students practised CPR on a mannequin.

Topic : Golden Circle.

Overview –
In todays session the students learn how to apply the golden circle rule towards identifying their goal ,working and achieving their goal. It was also explained to them how this rule will help them in their entire carrer in accomplishments of their goals.

Golden Cirle Rule –

  • Why – Purpose of the goal and why one belives they can accomplish their goal.
  • How – Process – the steps and task one needs to identify and work upon to achieve their goal.
  • What – Evaluating the goal in line with the process and what work and needs to be corrected in line to acheive their goals.

Overview –
In today’s session, it was discussed with the students that to learn anything and to be the best in whatever they are doing they need to develop the skill of practicing and keep learning from every result which will help them in their learning curve and keep improving and enable them to become the best.

Topic – SWOT Analaysis –

Overview –
In today’s session, the students learned what SWOT analysis is 0 (S – strengths I W – weaknesses I O – opportunities I T – threats) and how they can apply it to themselves towards understanding/identifying what are they strengths and the opportunities they identify and what are they weakness and why they need to work on them to avoid becoming a threat/obstacle in their pursuits.

Assignments –

  • The students need to create the SWOT analysis and present it during the next session.

Overview –
Today’s session was conducted by Akhil Kalal a B pharmacy student, music teacher, and an iINVENT intern.

In today’s session, students practiced the Kannada song Neene Rajakumara on A minor combination, Akhil also told them to apply the 3P’s skill to learn the guitar and to keep practicing as they cannot.
