Topic – Importance of computer skills –

Overview –

In today’s session, the students learned how developing computer/tech skills will help them in their day-to-day lives, education, and careers. The 80 -20 rule of using computers was also discussed with them where 80% of usage is for education/learning and work and 20% for entertainment.

Overview –

The orientation program was conducted in line with the Govt. School tech project that will start from 4th Nov to impart technology training to students of 20 Govt. Schools in Dharwad Dist. The orientation was done for 20 school’s HM’s and 4 trainers who will be a part of this project.

During this session, the MOU was also signed with the shortlisted schools and Dept. for school and literacy Dharwad.

Topic: Money Management –

Overview :

In today’s the #3 Golden rules to manage money were discussed with the students which are.

  • Don’t spend more than you earn.
  • 7′ Day rule.
  • Budgeting – How to manage money – 25% Saving + 50% Spending 50% (30% on needs + 20%on wants) + 25% on investments.

The students also practiced how to speak using the 3 C’s of effective communication which is – 1. Clarity 2. Conciseness 3. Completeness.

Assignments –

  • Students are to complete the notes.
  • Present their understanding of the topic in the next session.
  • Keep practicing guitar lessons.

Overview –
Today’s session was conducted by Akhil Kalal a B pharmacy student, music teacher, and an iINVENT intern.
In today’s session, students practiced the Kannada song Neene Rajakumara on A minor combination, he also showed and make them practice to sing per the vocals that is sa re ga ma pa da ni sa which is the seven notes of Indian classical music,

Topic – Importance of communicating in English + 3C’s of effective communication.

Overview –
In today’s session, it was discussed with the children that they need to develop and start communicating in English as it is an official language and it is very important to them in their education, career, and growth. Also, it was discussed how they can learn English by themselves and also how technology can help.
The 3C’s of effective communication were also discussed i.e. 1. Clarity 2.Conciseness 3. Completeness can enable them to be an effective communicator in reading and writing and how their message can reach the audience they would want to communicate most effectively. It was also mentioned to them how this topic is related to personal and people skills.

3 C’s for effective communication –

  • CLARITY – Clarity in thoughts is the key.
  • CONCISENESS – Be to the point/subject.
  • COMPLETENESS – Start and end point + call to action.

Assignment –

  1. In the next session, the students to present their project/AIMS using the concept 3C’s of effective communication.

Watch /Listen: i-INVENT Interns Project / AIMS presentation and Brainstorm on 18th October, by clicking here –  Attendees : INDIA CLICS – Basava I Kavya I Smitha I Arhan I Soubhagaya I SLCICS – Mihina I Nishadhi I MCLICS – Aishath Topic – Literacy project for elder citizens presentation by  Basavva Angadi. Overview – This session was presented by Basavva Angadi a 10th-grade student from India and an iINVENT NABROS intern where she is working on a Literacy project for elder citizens. During this session, Basava shared the goal, accomplishments, and next steps/plan of her project, she also mentioned how the internship program/3P skills have helped her in this project. She also mentioned that she has taught 4 elder citizens between the age group of 55-70 years and the syllabus she covered thus far is basic Kannada to read and write, basic concepts of mathematics, awareness lessons, and also taught them to make their signatures. As the next steps, she plans to work with her teachers and see how she could make her classes/this project more interesting, plus try to include 2-4 more elder citizens to join her classes.
