In todays session the 5# Skills /Mantras to be successful in one persuits be their health, education, or goal was discussed.

The 5# Skills /Mantras to be successful are as follows –

1. Give your best – Learn from every result and everyone.
2. Listening and observation – practice.
3. Balance – personal + family/friends +work/school.
4. Patience and Perseverance.
5. Ask questions.

Assignement –

Overview – This session was presented by Kavya a 10th-grade student from India and an iINVENT NABROS. She shared updates about the project she is working on the “Literacy Project for Elder Citizens” in line with the goal, accomplishments, and next steps/plan of her project, she also mentioned how the internship program/3P skills have helped her in this project. She also mentioned that she has taught 6 elder citizens between the age group of 40 – 70 years and the syllabus she covered thus far is basic Kannada to read and write, basic concepts of mathematics, awareness lessons, and also taught them to make their signatures. As the next steps, she plans to work with her teachers and see how she could make her classes/this project more interesting, plus try to include 4-5 more elder citizens to join her classes. Topic – Substance Abuse/Tobacco Awareness.

Overview –
This topic was curated and conducted by Dr. Umesh Hallikeri, MBBS MD. Consultant Oncopathologist at The Karnataka Cancer Therapy and Research Institute, Navanagar,
Hubballi and Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Dharwad.

During this session Dr. Umesh Hallikeri explained to the children how drug/tobacco consumption can harm our physical and mental health, he also shared the harmful ingredients used to make drugs/tobacco. The doctor also shared that one should not be included by influential people promoting drugs/tobacco and not engage with people who consume it.

Dr. Umesh Hallikeri told the children to stay away from drugs/tobacco or any bad habits they need to practice good habits, learn new skills, have a goal and keep working on it, and over-focus on their studies and careers.

Topic – Guitar Lesson: Practice A minor combination –
Overview –
Today’s session was conducted by Akhil Kalal a B pharmacy student, music teacher, and an iINVENT intern.

In today’s session, students learned a new Kannada song to play on A minor combination, he also showed and made them practice to singing per the vocals that are sa re ga ma pa da ni sa which is the seven notes of Indian classical music,

Topic – Patience + Perseverance + Persistency.

Overview –
In today’s session, the students learned how patience, perseverance, and persistence will help them to learn any skill, or subject and achieve their goal.

Assignment –

• In the next session, the students to present in a minute their project/learnings using the 3 C’s of effective communication that were discussed with them which are Clarity, consistency, and Completeness.
• Keep practicing all the guitar lessons.
