Watch /Listen to the Paid internship skill development conducted on 7th May 2024t by clicking here – Topic – Importance of developing computer skills. Overview : During this sessions the interns learnt and shared their views on the importance of learning computers. In today’s era computers and internet is used in every filed of work and academics/research and hence it becomes essential to learn computers that will help them in their academic and career pursuits, also students should follow the 80-20 rule, where they use the computer and internet 80% for academics/ work and 20% for positive entertainment. It was also discussed that students should not be too much dependent on the internet for their projects/research they should first apply their own creative minds and train of thoughts and then use the internet for reference and additional information. We also touched based briefly on the privacy and security aspects we need to keep in mind while using computers and internet. Topic – Guitar lessons.

Overview – Today’s session was conduct by Akhil Kalal a B pharmacy student, music teacher and an iINVENT intern. From today’s session the students learned the basics of the guitar,different parts of a guitar, what does each string stand for and about the 6 vocals. It was also mentioned to them that learning guitar/music comes under personal skills and how it will help them in their learning process and the career opportunities in the filed of music.

Assignment –

• Students to present in the next session the learning from today’s session by updating the AIMS on the CLICS and also create a word document on the computer or update their CLICS in line with the topic discuss today before coming to the next session.
• Students to create a guitar from waste / available material and share it on their CLICS AIMS section by Thursday 9th May.

Overview – In today’s session the discussion with the children was around the importance of why should students develop computer skills and how it will help them in their academic and professional life. As we all know that in every filed computers are used to a greater extent hence students should use computer more towards their academic reach and work vs just only for entertainments, they should also understand that they not be too much dependent on computer/internet for their academic’s and project but use their own mind and then use the computer/internet for additional help. Overview –   This session was in line with our 3P’s skill development and the expert speaker for today’s session was Shachi Suhas Moharir she is a Sangeet Visharad / Hindustani classical vocal Music teacher , she has Graduate in Psychology and English and has performed more that 25 songs on AIR and at various stages in different cities of India like Pune , Bengaluru, Dharwad, Gadag, Mumbai, Nashik etc. She shared with the children her life story as to how music happened to her and how music is a powerful personal skill to develop as it is a exercise for our brain, she also explained various forms of musical instruments , sang few songs with the students and also discussed the different current opportunities in the field of music and the relevant courses in music.
