Topic –Good Touch Bad Touch.

Overview –
This session was conducted by Dr Deepti Joshi, MS, FIPO, a Pediatric Ophthalmologist at M M Joshi Eye Hospital and co-chair for Masoom: Young Indians, Hubli—Dharwad (an anti-child sexual abuse vertical).

During this session, Dr. Deepti Joshi the doctor created awareness of good and bad touch. She explained in detail what is a good and bad touch, what they need to do to avoid such siutation, and how they need to seek help for themselves and others.

Topic: The importance of communication in English –

Overview –

In today’s session, the children learned how essential it is for them to communicate (both speaking and writing) in English as it greatly contributes to our education and career, it was also discussed with them that know how learning to communicate in English will help them in their day activities and during travel.

Topic – Organic manure.

This session was presented by Soubhagya a 10th-grade student from India and an iINVENT NABROS. She shared updates about the project organic manure, she is working on this project at her school GHS Yarikoppa along with 5 of her classmates and the guidance of her teacher.

Accomplishments –

• Organic manure created approx. 10 kg.
• No. of Rose plants #15 and flowers blossomed 60 approx.
• No. of Hibiscus plants # 20 and flowers blossomed 75 approx.
• No. of Jasmine plants # 8 and flowers blossomed 1.5 kg approx.

Plan/Next Steps –

• Work with my teacher and team to overcome the challenges.
• Try to create more manure.
• Educate the farmers in my village to use organic manure.
• Try to make a profit from this project by selling to households.

Topic – Dental health and hygiene.

Overview –
This session on Oral health and hygiene was conducted by Dr. Preetha J Shetty, BDS, MDSI Professor, Department of Public Health Dentistry, SDM College of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Sattur, Dharwad.
Dr. Preetha J Shetty shared details and practices of taking care of our dental health, plus how having good dental health will help us to speak clearly and maintain a good face structure, how to brush rightly, and the right food we need to consume.
She also told the students to stay away from consumption of tobacco to avoid mouth cancer-like diseases.

Topic – SWOT Analaysis –

Overview –
In today’s session, the students learned what SWOT analysis is 0 (S – strengths I W – weaknesses I O – opportunities I T – threats) and how they can apply it to themselves towards understanding/identifying what are their strengths and the opportunities they identify and what are they weakness and why they need to work on them to avoid becoming a threat/obstacle in their pursuits.

Assignments –

• The students need to create the SWOT analysis and present it during the next session.
