Topic – Project Management concepts –

Overview –
During today’s session, the children were guided on how they can create a project plan using the 3 basic principles of project management, which are time management, task management and expectation management.

They were shown how a project plan is created by creating a task and related subtasks and assigning time, and assigning a team member responsible for completing a task. The instructions below were provided to create a project plan –

#1. Break It Down into Tasks

List main tasks and break them into subtasks.Example:Main Task – Organise the 15th August Independence Day event.Subtasks – Choose venue, Send invitations, Buy decorations, etc.#2. Assign Time to Each Task

Estimate how much time each task will take.Set deadlines or timelines.#3. Assign Roles (Expectation Management)

Imagine you have a team. Decide who will do what.Even if you’re working solo, assign roles as if you’re managing a team.Assignment –

Students to present in the next class a project plan in line with the above instruction for the 15th August Independence Day event.

Topic: Effective Learning Methods
Overview:
In today’s session, five effective methods were discussed to enhance learning efficiency and retention. These methods aim to help learners grasp concepts thoroughly and remember them long-term. The key points covered include:

1. Discipline – Emphasising the importance of time management and staying organised to create a structured learning environment.
2. Concentration – Encouraging active listening and focused observation to absorb information more effectively.
3. Making Notes – Highlighting the value of summarising key aspects and creating concise notes to reinforce understanding.
4. Asking Questions – Promoting curiosity and clarity by encouraging learners to ask questions and resolve any doubts they may have.
5. Practice – Stressing the need for consistent practice, not just to understand concepts but also to remember and apply them confidently.

Topic Golden Circle –
In today’s session, it was discussed with the children to choose a career path based on their passion/interests, backed by their skills and competencies, to achieve their career goals. In line with this golden circle framework was explained to them that will help them identify and work towards their career goal/pursuits.
THE GOLDEN CIRCLE RULE/FRAMEWORK –
WHY – The purpose of one’s goal: Cause and belief.
HOW – The process to reach/work towards achieving their goal.
WHAT – Self-evaluation of each process they selected to reach their goal.
Assignment –
Students are to use the golden circle concept/framework in line with choosing and working towards their goal, and present it during the next class
