Topic – Creating with Purpose: Handmade Art & Craft Skills

This session was conducted by Mr. Sydney Gandhi, an expert Art & Craft Skill Trainer. The instructional workshop focused on teaching students how to create handmade artificial flowers using fabric and simple crafting techniques.

The session aimed to develop the students’ creativity, patience, attention to detail, and practical skills. It also introduced them to a skill that can be used for event decorations, personal creative projects, or potentially as a source of supplementary income.
During the session, the students:

  • Practised and strengthened the flower-making design taught in the previous class.
  • Learned and explored a new artificial flower design using fabric.
  • Followed the mentor’s step-by-step instructions and practised the techniques independently.
  • Improved their hand skills, creativity, and confidence through practical learning.
  • Built on their previous learning and applied it to create a new design.

Topic – Making the Most of Every Opportunity

Overview –
Every opportunity, big or small, can become a stepping stone toward personal growth and success. Students should be encouraged to recognise opportunities, take initiative, and make the effort to participate, even when they feel unsure or outside their comfort zone.
The focus is not only on achieving the best result but also on gaining experience, learning new skills, building confidence, and discovering their strengths. Successes can motivate them, while challenges and failures can teach valuable lessons.
By being open to new experiences, asking questions, taking responsibility, and learning from every situation, students can develop a growth mindset and become more confident, capable, and prepared for future opportunities.
